About Monda

Monda has been a member of Or Shalom's Theatre Troupe as both a playwright and actor. She wrote Rumour Has It, performed by the Troupe in 2000 and 2002 (London One-Act Festival), and appeared in Village of Idiots, Shake Hands With Your Uncle Max!, The God of Isaac, and in several readings. She also wrote So Tevye, Could You Use Another Daughter?, produced by the Writers' Workshop (London) and Gateway Theatre (Richmond, BC). Monda is a professor of History at UWO, and the author of And On That Farm He Had a Wife: Ontario Farm Women and Feminism, 1900-1970. She is currently working on a new book about a 1931 murder case in the Ottawa Jewish community.
